DENVER'S HIDDEN GEMS FOR DATE NIGHT
If you're anything like my husband and I, you don't always want to go to the trendiest spots.
Sure, sometimes that's fun, but more often we just want low key time to enjoy one another. With that said, we decided to release some of our favorite hidden gem spots - not all though! We have to keep a few in our back pocket.
Cherry Hills Sushi
Intimate, delicious, cost effective. We love Cherry Hills for those last minute dates when we want to feel like we're splurging.. . without actually breaking the bank. Located off Hampden in South Denver on the Englewood border, the have only a chef's counter and a limited, but perfect menu for any sushi lover. Try the sake flights!
Deep Roots Winery
This Lodo gem is guaranteed to be kid free, charming - the best way to kick off date night. I love the East Village charm it gives off. You feel like you’ve discovered something extra special when you walk in. I highly recommend a flight of wine and paired bites. Perfect for an appetizer stop before dinner.
Run For The Roses
Trendy, swanky, craft cocktails...the perfect location to reconnect to the downtown scene evening scene without waiting in line with the masses of 20 somethings. While they don’t promo themselves as a speakeasy, it definitely has that vibe.
Ok, sometimes you can’t get a sitter but still want to get out. This is my pick for family night. Great food, huge beer selection, and on Tuesdays they have family night. Kids eat free and balloon animals all around! They even provide activities like play doh and wiki sticks to keep the kids entertained so you can talk. It's hidden in the Virginia Village neighborhood and owned by a local couple whose love for this place is evident when you walk in. The menu, venue, even the bathrooms are super thoughtful and unique.
